The magnetic method is effective for geological surveys of ore potential areas. The method is also effective for locating and delimiting magnetized deposits for subsequent survey methods, e.g. sampling and drilling. The method is effective for covering large areas.
The magnetic method is a passive method, so only a receiver is needed. Measurements are made on pre-planned lines, point-to-point or as continuous measurements. The method uses two magnetometers, one as a fixed base station and the other in the measurement.

In magnetic measurements, we use durable and reliable Gemsys GSM-19W (overhauser proton) magnetometers, which have become the industry standard. In addition to durability, the advantage of the device is the continuous measurement function (walkmag), which continuously records location information, GPS time and the total value of the magnetic field at a specified time interval. The measurement produces much faster and more accurate data than is achieved by measuring one station at a time.
